The M&M Peach Ranch is a certified organic Peach ranch in the beautiful foothills of the Antelope Valley, in an area known as Lake Hughes, California. We grow two varieties of Peaches, which are available beginning in September until mid to late October. We also grow various other fruits and vegetables that are available through-out the year at local farmer’s markets.
The M&M Peach Ranch is one of only a few ranches in Los Angeles County that offers “U-Pick”, or “Pick Your Own”. Many families come visit us for an inexpensive, fun day of picking their own peaches. Whether you choose to come alone, or with a group, you are guaranteed to have a lot of fun wandering through the trees, seeking out those perfect peaches to enjoy at home!
Kids love picking their own fruit and hauling their bucket back to the fruit stand for check-in. Wandering from tree to tree, picking fruit, watching nature and discovering new things will keep your kids busy! Often, local schools make field trips to the ranch to learn about nature, or to coincide with an in-class reading. For example, we had a class of students visit the ranch to pick peaches, while they were reading the book, “James and the Giant Peach”. If you have a large enough group, we may be able to accommodate an exclusive visit, on a day we are not generally open to the public. Please contact us through the website for more information.
M&M Peach Ranch started growing sweet, juicy, high desert fruit back in 1983. There are 65 acres of tree-ripened Ryan Sun and Last Chance Peaches, as well as numerous acres of pomegranate, apples and vegetables.
All fruit from the M&M Peach Ranch are Certified Organic by OTCO (Oregon Tilth). This means our farming practices follow the stringent standards of the USDA National Organic Program and is free from chemical pesticides and fertilizers.
Bill Basner is the owner of the M&M Peach Ranch and runs the operations from his home located within the fruit trees on the ranch. Bill has owned the ranch since 1983 and has focused on producing high-quality fruit, that is juicy and tastes fantastic. During the Peach seasons, Bill is often found walking through the trees tasting the fruit; checking the texture and sweetness. If you come up to pick, chances are Bill will be at the fruit stand greeting you when you get here.
